IMPROVISED TOURNIQUET
HOW TO MAKE IT. An improvised tourniquet can be made by putting a flat -stone or similar object a little larger than a half-crown to act as a pad in the centre of a folded handkerchief or triangular bandage. Tie a handkerchief' loosely- round the limb, then put a stick- through the loop thus made and twist till bleeding stops.
