TENNIS MATCH

ALFREDTON v MT BRUCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Sunday a match with the Mt Bruce Club was played on the Alfredton courts. The weather was fine, resulting in good conditions for the players and a very enjoyable day was spent. The results were as follow: — Ladies’ singles.—Mrs Low 4, lost to Miss West 7; Miss Harcombe 7, beat Mrs Buick 3; Miss Smith 3, lost to Miss F. Wrigley 7; Mrs McKay 7, beat Miss N. Wrigley 4; Mrs Parsonson 2, lost to Mrs Rayner 7; Mrs Burch 7, beat Miss Kemble 1.

Men’s singles.—H. George 5, lost to S. Buick 7; M. Hull 4, lost to V. Buick 7; H. Burch 7, beat I. McLachlan 5; J. Hull 7, beat E. Meurk 2; M. Thompson 7 beat N. Wyeth 6; J. Shirtcliff 7, beat J. West 2; J. McKay 4 lost to H. Rayner 7; S. Price 2, lost to D. Buick, 7.
