AERO CLUB
TRUST REFUSES TO MAKE GRANT.
The Trust Lands Trust declined to make a grant to the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club, when a request camo before it at last night's meeting asking for a-donation to the club's funds. After a letter from the club had been read to the meeting, Mr J. Macfarlane Laing observed that the Trust could not deal with the matter at the moment, and he thought it should be held over until the estimates were considered. The chairman, Mr H. P. Hugo, said that according to the balance sheet the club had £5OO on fixed deposit. £B5l in the Post Office Savings Bank and £222 in the Bank of New South Wales. Mr C. E. Grey: ‘'They are better off than the Trust. I move that a grant be not made this year.” The motion was seconded by Mr E. G. Eton and carried.
