AUSTRALIAN POPULATION INFLOW OF SOUTHERN EUROPEANS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. Australia lost 566 British born residents and gained 4,640 Southern Europeans last year, according to figures released by the Commonwealth Statistician. Gains in Southern Europeans included 2,747 Italians, 922 Greeks, and 643 Yugoslavs. The gain in the German population was 1,713.
