REGISTERED NURSES

WELCOME TO PRESIDENT. , There was an attendance of about a hundred at a welcome tendered last evening at the Country Women's Club to Miss Barnett, president of the Wairarapa Branch of the Registered Nurses’ Association. On behalf of the association, Mrs Marshall (vice-president) extended a hearty and sincere welcome to Miss Barnett, who had just taken up duty as Matron of the Masterton Hospital. Miss Higginson, another vice-president of the association, presented the guest of the evening with a beautiful bouquet. Miss Barnett suitably replied. Nurses from all parts of the .Wairarapa were present at the gathering, including members of the Student Nurses’ Association. Items contributed by the nurses included songs and recitations, which were much enjoyed.
