Mrs Hobbs, Hawera, is staying with Mrs E. Carew Smyth,' Lett Street. Mrs McKay Cameron, who has been staying with friends in the Wairarapa is now visiting Wellington. Mrs J. A. Stevens, of South Carterton, leaves Carterton today on a visit to Horohoro and Stratford.
Mrs K. Cowie, of Wellington, who has been on a visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs E. Styles, Masterton, has returned home.
Miss Margaret Ellen Walshe, only daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Walshe, of South Wairarapa, has joined the nursing staff of the Lewisham Hospital, Wellington. Mrs R. Nunn and her two sons who have been staying with Mr and Mrs W. Wadham, Brooklyn Road, Carterton, returned to their home at Waikaremoana yesterday. They were accompanied by Mr R. W. Nunn, of Carterton, who has gone on a holiday visit to his son.
Miss Mavis Wells, whose marriage is to take place next week, has been the guest at some delightful parties. On Saturday she was entertained at a flag bridge party by Mrs Eric Jones, Cooper Street. Competitions and musical items were much enjoyed. Yesterday Miss Wells was the guest at a party arranged by Mrs Roberts, Bunny Street. Musical items and competitions were held and the gathering proved a most enjoyable one.
