EKETAHUNA
SERVICES APPRECIATED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Bush Cricket Association has decided to forward a letter of appreciation to Mr R. D. McGregor, who has left the district, for his valuable sservices to the Association. Mr McGregor is now a resident of Pongaroa. , Personal. Mr L. A. Humphrey, of Levin, is visiting Eketahuna. Mr Geo. Higginson, of Alfredton, who was recently seriously injured when he was thrown from his horse is making a satisfactory recovery. Cricket Practices. Practices of the Bush representative team will bo held at Pahiatua tonight, and tomorrow night. All members are asked to make a point of attending the practice tomorrow. Croquet. In a croquet match played at Eketahuna in the Country Club competition, Mauriceville defeated Pahiatua by 99 to 93. This was the Mauriceville Club's first appearance in competition games, and the success of its team was most gratifying. Swimming. The Eketahuna Swimming Club will hold its weekly meeting tomorrow evening at the baths, when some excellent swimming should be witnessed.
