FAST FLYING

NEW SPEED RECORD SET UP.

Further illustrations are forthcoming of high-speed 'transport by an air-lin-er of Imperial Airways. Leaving Croydon recently with 11 passengers and a ion of mails and freight, the “Fah'on” established a new commercial airspeed record by reaching the Brussels air-port in 48 minutes, averaging approximately 250 miles an hour, and beating the previous London-Brussels record by five minutes. Just recently, too, when outward-bound from London to Marseilles with a ton of mails, this same air-liner covered the 641 miles, non-stop, at a speed of 222 miles an hour.
