EIG PROGRAMME AHEAD
According to the arrangements now being made. Masterton is to celebrate Keep Fit Week in fitting style. There was a fairly large attendance of re; presentatives of various sports clubs at a meeting of the committee held last night to consider the programme for the coming observance. The Mayor. Mr T. Hodder had given an outline of the proposed arrangements for the procession on Saturday, February 18 it was decided that upon reaching the Park, the procession would proceed round the Oval and come to a halt in front, of the stand. The Mayor would then give a short address on the aims of the campaign and at the conclusion of the speech those taking part in the procession would be free to proceed to their various clubs to fake part in then- usual sports activities. In order to allow the members of snorts clubs to participate in the procession, which is to start promptly at 1.30 p.m. from Wagg’s Parking Area, the commencement of all sports games has been postponed until 2.30 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend any of the various games.
