Mrs Toxward, Hogg Crescent, Masterton, is visiting Auckland. Miss Avis Peterson, of Pahiatua, is spending a holiday in Masterton. Miss A. Eton, Cornwall Street, Masterton, is spending a fortnight at Paekakariki.
Miss M. Pocock, of Auckland, is the guest of Mr and Mrs P. A. Bissett, of Masterton Road, Pahiatua. Mrs A. S. Beckett, Pownall Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Akaroa.
Miss M. Langdon, who has been on an extended visit to Australia has returned to Tinui.
Mrs E. G. Eton, Cornwall Stree:, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Wellington. Miss M. Mitchell and Miss Willis, Wellington, are staying with Mrs H. E. Haggitt, Mataikona. Mrs J. Gray, College Street, Masterton, and Miss D. Gray, Taratahi, left last week on a motor trip to New Ply - mouth.
Miss Alison Cathie, U'ho has been the guest of the Misses Allen, Upper Plain, Masterton, has returned to Wellington. Miss Joan McKenzie, Puke Te, who has been the guest of Mrs C. S. Loughlin, Kilbirnie, Wellington, has returned home.
Mrs L. V. Kay, Island Bay, Wellington, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs H. W. Baty, Renall Street, Masterton, has returned home. Mr and Mrs E. M. Hodder and family, Second Street, Lansdowne, who have been staying at Paraparaumu, have returned to Masterton. Mr and Mrs W. L. Hunter and family, Coradine Street, Masterton, who have been spending the holidays at Castlepoint, have returned to Masterton.
Mrs A. R. Bloxam, of Christchurch, was a recent visitor to Masterton, where she was the guest of Mrs H. A. R. Dunderdale, of Lansdowne. CARTERTON (“Times-Age” Special.) Miss C. Gapper, who was for some years bn the staff of the Carterton School, and recently teaching in Feilding, has been transferred to the Napier Intermediate School. Miss Gapper intends to specialise in Dramatic Art and Folk Dancing.
The many Wairarapa friends of Miss Ngaire Milner will regret to learn that she recently had the misfortune to be knocked down by a motor lorry in Melbourne. Several stitches had to be inserted in her head and arm. Miss Milner is now progressing satisfactorily towards recovery. Nurse Goodall (Plunket Nurse) returned from the South on Sunday, and has now resumed duty.
