CHURCH OF ENGLAND

MEETING OF MEN’S SOCIETY.

ADDRESS ON WORLD SITUATION.

At a very largely attended meeting of the Masterton branch of the Church of England Men’s Society held last night, the Rev E. J. Rich gave an address on the world situation and the need for strengthening the spiritual basis of life.

A particularly fine discussion, with outstanding addresses, followed. The need for spiritual revival was stressed and a clarion call sounded for all to take their stand for Christian principles. Eleven new members were elected, and it was decided to hold a public admission service for them next Sunday evening at St Matthew’s Church. It was agreed that as an act of public witness and to show their belief in Christian principles as the only solution to world problems, old members should at the same time publicly renew their membership.
