AGGRESSIVE TONE TAKEN IN BENGAL DEMAND FOP. CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY. ULTIMATUM TO BRITAIN PROPOSED. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) JALPAIGURI, February 5. The Bengal Congress political conference passed a resolution urging the All India Congress to send an ultimatum to Britain seeking a categorical answer within six months to India’s national demand for the right to form its own constitution by a constituent assembly, and reiterating uncompromising opposition to federation, congress reserving the right to take any necessary action to enforce its demand if Britain does not reply, or replies unsatisfactorily.
