FLEECE COMPETITION

ALFRED MATTHEW’S MEMORIAL CUP.

THIS YEAR’S ARRANGEMENTS.

For this year’s fleece competition it has been agreed that the Young Farmers’ Clubs, which are holding a separate competition, will combine with the Farmers’ Union as competitors for the Alfred Matthew’s Memorial Cup and all fleeces will be at the disposal of the Young Farmers for their judging competition. Mr Vin Wilton will act as judge for the Memorial Cup and classes and the classing will be supervised by Mr Eric Shaw.

It is anticipated that 70 or 80 fleeces will be on exhibition for the first day of the Masterton Show only.

Farmers’ Union competitors are asked to deliver their entries this week so that the fleeces can be judged at the weekend.
