Mr and Mrs R. Candy and family. Hinakura, are staying at Paraparaumu Beach.

Miss Guild, Cornwall Street, Masterton, has been spending a few days in Wellington. . Miss Lois Hosking, Church Street, Masterton, is on a holiday visit to D’Urville Island.

Miss B. Kummer, Cole Street, Masterton, has been spending a few days in Wellington.

Mr J. G. S. Thompson, Rimu Street, Lansdowne, has been spending a few days in Wellington.

Mrs Hornsby and Miss Telford, who have been visiting Masterton, have returned to Raumati Beach.

Mrs R. C. Drummond, Te Ore Ore Road, Masterton, has left on a motor tour of the Auckland district.

Miss M. Chisholm, of Featherston, is the guest of Mrs Gordon, of Wellington.

Mrs E. M. Wakely, who has been on a visit to Auckland, has returned to Featherston.

Mrs V. E. Donald, Lansdowne, who has been on a short visit to Wellington, has returned to Masterton.

Mrs Reg. Stanton, of New Plymouth, and formerly of Masterton, is at present staying with her sister, Mrs M. Rue. 98 Renall Street, Masterton.

Miss Betty Hammond, who has been staying with Miss Ngaire Tocker, The Priory, Featherston, returned to her home, Makirikiri, Wanganui, yesterday.

The Misses Brenklby have returned to Wellington Training College after spending holidays with their mother, Mrs Brenkley, Renall Street, Masterton. Miss Hermes Brenkley is woman president of the Training College, and iviiss Onyx Brenkley, has had her third year granted in physical education. At a special Dominion conference of Navy League branches, held at Wellington yesterday and attended by the chairman of the London executive, Earl Beatty, the Masterton delegates present were: Mrs A. Caselberg (president), Miss A. Sellar (secretary), Mrs Don and Miss Cameron.

The engagement is announced of Helen Nancy, younger daughter of Mr Norman and the late Mrs Waldin, “Longview,” Takapau, to Bruce Buchanan, third son of the late Mr and Mrs Allen Donald, Featherston.
