Spaak, was hurt followed on the Government’s appointment to the Royal Flemish Academy of Dr Martens, who was sentenced to death after the war for co-operation with the Germans. There were scenes in Parliament regarding the matter, after which a vote of confidence was passed in the Government by 88 votes to 86. There were seven abstentions.
