TINUI FORESTERS

SPORTS AND DANCE. Resulting from the large number of children’s entries at last year’s Tinui Sports, the committee have decided to further encourage the children and have appointed a separate set of stewards to control their events. Children should have their ponies ready at 10.30 a.m. Over £lOO has been allocated in trophies and cash and all competitions will be run under the N.Z.A.A.A. and Horse Sports Federation rules. All the events are to be held on Mr H. Bennett’s paddock Saturday, February 4, should be a real gala day for Tinui settlers and town residents and they should thoroughly enjoy the open air sports. A dance will be held in the hall in the evening commencing at 8 o'clock. The Blue River Dance Band will supply the music.
