MASTERTON SALE
KEENER COMPETITION TODAY. Although prices were about on a par with ruling market rates, there was much keen competition at today's Masterton stock sale. There was a representative attendance of local and outside buyers and a large entry of fairly good quality stock.
Fat wethers made up to 19s 4d and fat lambs 19s to 225. A line of fat b.f.’s brought 16s 4d and wethers up to 18s 3d. Fat ewes sold from 9s 6d to IBs fid. Weaner pigs sold from 15s to 18s fid.
