LANSDOWNE SCHOOL
OFFICIAL OPENING TODAY. GATHERING LARGELY ATTENDED. The new Lansdowne School, a modern type of open-air building, was officially opened this afternoon by the member for Masterton, Mr J. Robertson. There was a large attendance at the opening and other speakers included the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, and the chairman of the school committee. Mr H. E. Pither.
The school, which was greatly admired, was built to replace the old brick building, which was demolished last year because of earthquake damage.
