DANNEVIRKE SHOW
TO BE HELD NEXT WEEK. Having concluded a very successful Gala Week, the next most important event for Dannevirke and district will be the annual show of the Dannevirke A. and P. Assn., on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, followed on Thursday' by the ram fair. There is every justification for anticipating an outstanding display at the show. Entries in all sections are particularly good, while the trade displays and the special evening entertainments will also be outstanding. The special exhibit to be staged by the Agricultural Department should be very educative as it will deal with a variety of subjects vitally concerning the farming community, and they should avail themselves of the opportunity of acquiring the valuable information which will be readily available. Visitors from a distance will find the facilities on the ground all that could be desired and experience over many years results in frictionless running of the show. Final computation of the entries has not yet been made, but they are very satisfactory in most of the classes, while there is a big increase in the dairy produce section. The Kennel Club’s display will be a strong feature, over 130 individual dogs from all parts being entered. Those in other centres v/ho have not previously visited the Show will be surprised at the standard of excellence in all departments.
