RABBITSKIN SALE
PRICES AT DUNEDIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, January 31. The first rabbitskin sale for the 1939 season was held today, when fair catalogues were submitted to a large attendance of exporters and furriers. The offering was composed principally of summers, milky and springs, with a sprinkling of winters and outgoings, and these met keen competition, values showing a substantial increase on December sales. Buying was well spread and total clearances were made. Winter bucks sold to 37-}d, outgoing winter bucks to 32d, spring bucks to 24d, .milky to 17d, racks to 18d and summers to 14}d.
Following is the official range of prices: Small, s}d to 6d per lb; runners, lid to 12}d; racks, 17d to 18d; summers, 13d to 14Jd; summer broken, lid to 13}d; summer blacks, 9£d to lljd; winter blacks, 143 d to 17}d; fawns, lOjd to Ud; milky, 13d to 17d; hareskins, lOd to 12}d; spring bucks, 17|d to 24d; spring does, 15d to 19}d; outgoing winter bucks, 28d to 32d; outgoing winter does, 24d to 243 d; winter bucks, 28}d to 37.}; winter does, 251 d to 27d; ferrets (first), to 8d; horsehair, 15d to 18d.
