HAWKE’S BAY RAM FAIR
TOP PRICE FOR STUDS. GOES TO SOUTHEY AND SONS. There were few high spots among the flock sheep at the opening day of the Hawke’s Bay ram fair held at the Tomoana Show Grounds on Thursday.
The top price of 19 guineas was paid for a pen of five one-shear Romney rams. The next best price was 17] guineas for a line of five one-shear rams on account of Messrs A. P. Southey and Sons, Masterton, which were purchased by Mr W. Gray, Onga Onga.
