MASTERTON SHOW
KEEN COMPETITION PROMISED.
MANY ATTRACTIVE FEATURES.
Intending exhibitors at the Masterton A. and P. Show, which is to be held at the Solway Showgrounds on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 14 and 15, are urged to make their entries as soon as possible, as closingdate is not far off. There is every indication that this year’s Show will worthily maintain the high standards set on previous occasions. All the principal stock breeders in the district and many from further afield will be exhibiting and competition promises to be keen. An addition to the sheep section this year is a class for Ryelands, for which several entries are assured. Besides all kinds of stock there are classes for dogs (working and kennel), poultry, pigeons, cage birds, home industries, including cooking, sewing and fancy work; model aeroplanes, and fruit, flowers and vegetables.
On Tuesday. February 14. a night show has been arranged, at which there will be tin hare racing pnd Highland dancing events. The grounds will be illuminated with electric light, which has been installed recently by the Association at considerable expense. The Show will be followed on Thursday and Friday, February 16 and 17, by the annual ram and ewe fair.
