MAKEA NUi TINIRAU DEAD. PARAMOUNT ARIKI SINCE 1921. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) RAROTONGA, January 26. The death occurred suddenly at an early hour this morning of Makea Nui Tinirau, Ariki, 0.8. E., at the age of 65. He had been Paramount Ariki of Rarotonga since 1921, and was a staunch and loyal supporter of the Administration at all times and worthily represented his people. There is general mourning throughout the whole island. The funeral will take place tomorrow.
