France and Britain United IN DESIRING PEACE AND IN EVENT OF WAR (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) PARIS, January 26. M. Bonnet, French Foreign Minister, speaking in the Chamber of Deputies, said: “England and France ask nothing from anyone but intend to preserve their patrimonies. The entente was never so close. It is directed towards peace, but in the event of war all the forces of France will be placed at the disposal of Britain. Similarly all the forces of Britain will be placed at the disposal of France.” He reiterated that the policy of non-intervention in Spain was unchanged.
