CANADA RECORDS DECREASE. OTTAWA. Consumption of meat in Canada in 1937 was considerably lower than in the preceding year. The Dominion Bureau of Statistics estimates that the percapita consumption of podk in Canada in 1937 was 62.35 pounds as compared with 67.98 pounds, while that of beef decreased from 60.48 pounds to 58.89 pounds. Consumption of mutton and lamb increased, however, from 5.86 pounds per person to 6.16 pounds.
