INTER-HOUSE SPORTS

FURTHER PLANS ARRANGED. Further steps towards the planned sports day of the Wairarapa InterHouse Association Wre taken last night at an executive meeting. Mr L. B. Maunsell, president, reported on the organisation of the North Island InterHouse Championships at Napier and offered several suggestions concerning the Wairarapa gathering. Mr C. Rogers of the Defence Department also attended and submitted details of a suggested programme for the girls’ section of the competition. He agreed to draft a syllabus suitable and offered to train team leaders and instructors at a suitable time to be arranged. The girls’ team competitions will last approximately an hour. Application was made for the use of the Park on Saturday, March 4, and for use of the Municipal Hall that night for a gala dance. The Masterton Band will also be approached to supply the music for the afternoon sports.
