(Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) BURGOS, January 24. It is.officially stated that the Nationalists have captured the entire Llobregat Line—Barcelona’s last defence. The Moorish troops are ten miles .from the city gates. A terrific aerial bombardment is heralding the impending fall of the capital. NATIONALIST ADVANCE Swift Progress in All Sectors CITY UNDER DIRECT ARTILLERY FIRE REMOVAL OF BRITISH DIPLOMATIC STAFFS (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) BARCELONA, January 24. The Nationalists have been sighted advancing swiftly in all sectors. The city is under direct artillery fire. Manresa has been occupied and Gava is completely surrounded, while Nationalist troops are only three miles from the aerodrome. Over a hundred city residents have been killed in air raids. The destroyer Greyhound has taken off women members of the British staffs and the cruiser Devonshire is still standing by in order to pick up members of the Consular Corps. The French Embassy is moving out.
