CHARGE DENIED

CANADA’S DEFENCE POLICY CONDITIONS OF CO-OPERATION WITH BRITAIN. GOVERNMENT STATEMENT By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. OTTAWA, January 19. In the Senate, Mr R. L. Dandurand, Government Leader, vigorously denied Mr A. Meighen’s allegation that Canada was not co-operating with the Admiralty and War Office regarding defence and a complete knowledge of programmes on both sides of the Atlantic. He said Canada would not surrender her war autonomy, and was not going to be placed in the position of having to" dance to the tune of any British- Government, which might be Tory, Liberal, Labour or Socialist, without an opportunity to approve her entry into a conflict.
