Mr and Mrs R. N. Palmer and family of Longbush, are spending a holiday at Eastbourne.
Mrs C. M. Strouts and Miss June Strouts, formerly of Masterton, are Wanganui visitors to Wellington.
Miss N. Caldwell, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs Caldwell, Hessey Street, Masterton, has returned to Wellington.
Mr and Mrs W. R. Nicol, of Chapel Street, Masterton, have returned home after a visit to Rotorua and various parts of the Auckland province. Mrs F. Boyle, a former resident of Upper Plain, is spending a few days inMasterton prior to leaving for Christchurch. She is the guest of Mrs G; Jackson, Cole Street.
Miss Kathleen Cameron, who recently arrived in Auckland from England, has left for the Wairarapa. where she will stay with Mrs Donald Cameron, Glendhu, Martinborough.
The engagement is announced of Shona, only daughter of Mr and. Mrs Charles Bassett, Burnt Hill, Oxford, to David Addison, eldest son of Mr and Mrs David Russell, St. Leonards, Dunedin.
