DAMAGE BY GALE. (“Times-Ase” Special.) Considerable damage by the heavy wind during the past few days is reported. On the Newman Road the sheep crate of a lorry was blown off on to the road. Hay is to be seen banked against the wire fences along the roads. Trees are down everywhere and damage to fences is reported. Eketahuna Concert Band. At a meeting of members of the Eketahuna Concert Band, at which town and country members were present, it was decided to hold the first practice at the end of the present month. Mr P. Bouzaid was appointed conductor, Mr K. Marenzi hon secretary and treasurer and Mr N. Liardet music librarian.
