NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS REMARKABLY HIGH STANDARD OF PLAY. UNFAVOURABLE CONDITIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI. January 18. The first and second rounds of the Now Zealand junior singles tennis titles were played on the Wanganui Lawn Tennis .Association's courts today’ in a strong gusty westerly’ wind, will) the courts greasy in the morning, though dry in the afternoon. There were no surprises in today’s matches, but a remarkably high standard was revealed in sjoite of the unfavourable conditions. Results:— Boys' Singles. First round: R. Kitt (Hawke’s Bay) beat H.
