MASTERTON CLUB.

EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES BY MEMBERS.

Ipcidentally, one paper gives Pullar. full credit for the time of 4min 14 3-ssec. recorded for the mile by Boot, when he defeated Backhouse.

Allan Welply is just returning to form. He ran third to the Australian Best and Jim Eastwood in the 100 yards Invitation Scratch Race at the Basin Reserve on January 7, and last Saturday recorded 10 2-ssec. off 3 vards at Hataitai.

S. L. Pye won the hop, step and jump at Woodville on Saturday with 45 feet 8 inches. The last year's provincial title was won with a jump of under 44 feet. There may yet be another N.Z. title coming to Masterton.
