TARARUA RIFLE CLUB.

COMPETITION FOR CUP

The Tararua Rifle Club fired the second shoot for the Hercock Cup, this also counting for the championship. The day was dull and overcast with occasional small showers. A strong north-west wind was blowing as high as fourteen degrees right which made it interesting for the shooters. The scores were as follow: —

Dance at Kaiparoro.

The dance held on Saturday night in the Kaiparoro Hall in connection with the opening of the new tennis courts at Kaiparoro was most successful, there being a large attendance and everyone enjoying it thoroughly. The music was provided by Jack Barnes’s Rhythm Boys. An extra was played by Mr Niederer on his accordMr. Don Falkner was the winner of a competition. The Hon. P. C. Webb spoke during the evening on the lines of his afternoon speech.
