French circles reveal that Viscount Halifax told M Bonnet that Signor Mussolini had authorised Mr Neville Chamberlain to tell the House of Commons that Italy formally reaffirmed her her promise to respect the territorial integrity of Spain, the Balearic Islands, and the Spanish colonies.
