TOTALISATOR FIGURES INCREASE

The Timaru Trotting Club's summer meeting was held in fine, overcast weather, with a large attendance. The totalisator handled £19.194, against £14,597 last year, an increase of £4597. The track was good.
An attempt was made on Van Derby's mile grass record of 2.1 1-5 by Lucky Jack. A still easterly was blowing, and in the circumstances Lucky Jack's time of 2.6 ■ 1-5 was good. Results: —
