HOW TO DEAL WITH IT. If a needle lies not too deeply embedded an attempt should be made to dislodge it as though it were a splinter, but should it be broken in and part of it hidden, no attempt should be made to remove it, but medical aid should be summoned.
Until assistance is forthcoming that part in which the needle is embedded should be kept as still as possible.
