Board of Trade returns for December are as follows:—lmports: £74,122,000: exports. £39,098.000; re-exports. £4.778,800.
Principal decreases compared with December of the previous year are:— Imports: Grain and flour, £4,197,000; dairy produce, £1,555,000; beverages, £840,000; tobacco, £382,000; iron ore and scrap, £938,000; wood and timber. £1.577,000; raw cotton and waste, £2,563.000 seeds and nuts, £635,000: hides and skins, £640,000; paper-making materials. £421,000; rubber. £302,000; iron and steel manufacturers, £2,093,000; non-ferrous manufacturers, £l,056,000; machinery, £414,000; paper and cardboard, £553.000.
Exports: Iron and steel manufactures, £844,000; cotton yards, £1,364.000; woollen and worsted manufactures, £604,000; other textiles, £343,000.
