GOOD WORK BY FIRE BRIGADE. OUTBREAK IN COLOMBO ROAD. When the gale was at its height yesterday afternoon, the Masterton Fire Brigade received a call to an outbreak of fire in a house occupied by' Mr R. T. Emery, 138 Colombo Road. The brigade, in charge of DeputySuperintendent Hume, made an excellent save and only minor damage was done to a portion of the front of the house. One room was also damaged by heat. It is thought that the fire was started by sparks from a copper fire.
