FAREWELL SOCIAL

TECHNICAL OLD GIRLS.

MISS C. JORGENSON ENTERTAINED

A most enjoyable time was spent last night at the Y.M.C.A. by the members of the Technical Old Girls’ Basketball team when they farewelled Miss Clare Jorgenson who is shortly leaving the district. Delightful items were rendered by Misses M. Costigan. Miss P. Gillmore (both of whom came from Christchurch), Betty Andrews, O. Grayndler, M. Greenlees, D. Smith and N. Needham.

Miss Clare Jorgenson was presented by Miss Joan Snelgrove, on behalf of those present, with a crystal powdei’ bowl. Miss Snelgrove thanked Miss Jorgenson foi- the good work she had carried out in connection with the team during the year. Miss Jorgenson suitably replied. A dainty supper was served, and the gathering was brought to a close by the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
