FIRING AT CONSULATE
GERMANY WARNS HOLLAND RELATIONS (PREJUDICED. REFERENCE TO JEWISH INFLUENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) BERLIN, January 12. Stern warnings to Holland for prejudicing neutrality and her relations with Germany have been issued by diplomatic correspondence anent the shots fired at the Amsterdam Consulate. The warning adds that Holland must consider whether her open-heartedness and indulgence to the "destructive Jewish influence" is still justified when it endangers Germans accredited to Holland.
An earlier' cablegram reported that shots were fired at the German Consulate at Amsterdam and at the German Legation at the Hague on January 9. The German Minister at the Hague reported the finding of small holes in the windows of the building. The Dutch police believe the holes were made by pellets from a child’s air gun. PROTEST & REGRET. (Received This Day, 1.35 p.m.) THE HAGUE. January 12. The German Minister has protested against the Amsterdam shooting. The Foreign Minister, M. Patijr expressed regret.
