Donald and S. Sievers.. Tennis Club Tournament. A detailed analysis of entries received for this year’s tennis tournament shows that 208 entries were received for the championship events and 264 for the handicaps—a total of 472 entries, as opposed to 457 last year (184 championship, 273 handicap). This total would have been much larger save for the fact that the inclemency of the weather caused many late scratchings. The tournament dance at the Kaiwaiwai Hall was one of the most successful ever held in the interests of the tournament, netting a return of £lO. The Club wishes to acknowledge with thanks donations from Mesdames A. D. McLeod and John Martin.
