A hail storm last night has caused considerable damage to the fruit crops. Westerly Gale. A heavy' westerly gale blew at Greytown on Monday night and continued for the best part of yesterday. At 5 p.m. the wind changed to the south-west and a heavy hail storm swept over the district for about half an hour.
