SOME SCHEDULE FEATURES. The usual attractive list of competitions is contained in the schedule for the 30th show on Tuesday, February 7, and Wednesday, February 8, of the Dannevirke A. and P. Association, and those interested should make application without delay for a copy. On the first day there are two riding events for both boys and girls, over 12 and under 16, and 12 years and under (post entry permitted); a pony jump, hunting style ,also two other pony jumping competitions. For the bigger horses there is a maiden jumping competition (open to lady or gentleman riders),

carrying a prize of five guineas, and a silver cup, value 10 guineas, for the winner. There is also a wire jump, hunting style, for ladies, and two handy hunters’ competitions, confined respectively to members of each sex. On the second day there are in all eight events, including pony leaping in pairs; champion pony jump, sheep dog trial final, champion hunters’ competition (first prize £3O, second £l5, third £5), a ladies' hunters’ competition, wire jump, hunting style, and consolation jump. Prizes in each event are substantial and well.'Worth winning. The judging of the competitions will be done by Mr H. S. S. Kyle, of Christchurch. Entries close with the show secretary, Box 38. Dannevirke, on January 24 (except for those events which are post entry).
