A profusion of white Christmas lilies and gold shaded flowers decorated the Church. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was preceded by two little flower girls. She wore a beautiful white satin frock which was shirred at the yoke and sleeves and fell away at the back into a lovely train. The beautiful embroidered silk tulle veil was worn over her face as she entered the Church and held in place with a halo of tiny arum lilies. White satin shoes were worn and the lovely shower bouquet was composed of white Christmas lilies, roses and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom's gift, a gold cross and chain, was also Worn. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Muriel Smith, and Miss Daphne Hooper also attended the bride. They Were dressed alike in daffodil satin frocks with big puff sleeves and shirred georgette yokes. As an effective contrast sashes, hats and shoes were in a sultana brown shade and the lovely bouquets were of blue delphiniums and cornflowers and lemon-shaded lilies tied with brown satin ribbons. They wore crystal necklaces, the gift of the bridegroom. The two little flower gills, Margaret and Kathleen Monaghan, were miniature replicas of the bridesmaids and the posies they carried were of poppies, abutilon and delphiniums tied with gold ribbons. The bridegroom presented each with a white prayer book.
The bridegroom was supported by his brothers, Messrs W. and B. Spring as best man and groomsman respectively. The ushers were Messrs H. Wolland and B. Bradley.
The wedding party and guests left the Church for the Public Hall where they were received by Mr T. F. Edge and Mrs J. E. Monaghan (as hostess), and Mr and Mrs J. J. Spring. Mrs Monaghan's frock was of black mariette with black hat and shoes and Mrs Spring wore a navy wool floral georgette frock and plain smart coat. Both ladies carried posies of pink carnations, gladioli and fern tied with gold ribbon. The future home of Mr and Mrs Spring will be at Waitara.
