Parry, when he was asked as to the scope of the inquiries to be undertaken by the Royal Commission to investigate racing and trotting. A draft of order of reference has been prepared and will shortly be submitted to Cabinet. The Government’s desire is that a full opportunity should bo given the commission lo inquire into various phases of racing and trotting. Any legislation required for the amendment of the Gaming laws will be based on the finding-- and recommendations. (
