Miss N. Smith, Tararua Street, Masterton, spent the New Year holidays in Wellington.
Mr and Mrs A. P. Campbell left Pongaroa yesterday to spend a holiday at Island Bay. Mrs K. Gaynor and Miss A. Stempa, of Upper Plain, will leave tomorrow for Foxton Beach.
Mrs Evans, of Dunedin, is visiting her mother, Mrs A. Kerr, Keaton Street, Masterton.
Miss Zena Freer and Miss Irene Corlett, of Carterton, are spending a holiday period at Paraparaumu Beach. Miss G. Bisset, of Masterton Road, Pahiatua, is on a holiday at Waimarama Beach, Hawke's Bay.
Mrs L. Taylor, of Palmerston North, is the guest of ivirs W. Rouse, of Pahiatua.
Mrs R. Jensen and the Misses Jensen. of Rowan, Were the guests of Mrs J. Coppell, of Ballance, during the holidays. Mrs Riggs, Ngaio, spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs Henson, Lansdowne, and was a guest at the Henson —Benge wedding. Mr and Mrs Bob Chadwjck left for their home in Wellington* last night after spending the holidays at Kent House, Masterton.
Miss Dene Spackman, of Featherston, who is an inmate of the Kelvin private hospital, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery, and is expected to return home shortly. Miss E. McKenzie, who has been the guest of Mrs Snowsill, Colombo Road, Masterton, left on Saturday to spend a holiday with her sister,. Mrs King, in Wellington. Mr and Mrs J. Renner and family, of Renall Street, Masterton, left today for Karehana Bay, where they will spend a holiday; Mrs Archie Stewart, of Whangarei, and formerly of Masterton, is on a visit to Mrs Charles Holmwood, “Bushcroft,” Mt. Bruce Road. Miss E. A. Gaze, of Wanganui, who has been spending the Christmas and New Year holidays with her parents at High Street, Carterton, left on Saturday to commence an extensive motor tour of the Auckland and Waikato districts.
