Ne.w York City’s famous prison, the Tombs, together with the Criminal Courts Building connected with it by the "Bridge of Sighs,” was offered for sale recently, and large signs to this effect were hung outside. Nothing was said of when possession could be given, but it is understood that the present tenants are willing to vacate the premises without any notice whatsoever.
