ABUSE OF AMERICA

NEW WAVE OF VITUPERATION IN NAZI PRESS BITTER ATTACKS ON ROOSEVELT AND PITTMAN. ALSO ON BRITISH PRESS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. BERLIN, January 6. A fresh wave of vituperation against the United States floods the Nazi Press alleging’that President Roosevelt is planning sanctions and war against Germany. The Press is again attacking the President and Senator Pittman in the bitterest terms, describing them as prisoners of Jewry, Fascist devourers and warmongers.

Apparently in response to orders to emphasise Germany's support for the Italian claims on the eve of Mr Chamberlain’s visit to Rome, the papers fiercely attack the British and French Press, declaring that they are using M. Daladier’s every gesture during the Tunisian tour as provocation against Italy.
