HITLER CALLED CERTIFIABLE LUNATIC. MUSSOLINI “A FANTASTIC RENEGADE.” By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright DEVONPORT, This Day. The Federal Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons),' issued a statement rebuking Mr H. G. Wells for remarks made in an interview in which he said he regarded Hitler as “a certifiable lunatic” and described' Mussolini as "a fantastic renegade from the Socialist movement.” Mr Lyons said: ’’’While different systems of government may offer occasion for difference of opinion, serious argument. deep conviction, and even clever phrase-making, personal insults offered to leaders of one nation by citizens of another nation, are to be deplored.”
