FORMATION IN BRITAIN
CRITICISM OF FOREIGN POLICY. MR DUNCAN SANDYS PRESIDES AT MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON. January 5. Mr Duncan Sandys, M.P.. presided at a secret meeting today with the object of forming a new political group. More than 100 persons were present, including a number of members of the House of Commons.
A provisional statement of policy .declared that the Government’s weak foreign policy and incompetent defence preparations had endangered Britain. If Britain continued to muddle through, she was inviting not only war but also a defeat involving the destruction of the Empire.
